Privacy Policy

The short version: the numbers you type stay in your browser. Numvella performs every calculation locally on your device. Your inputs are not sent to a server, not logged, and not stored by us. We do measure ordinary page traffic and loading speed — that tells us which pages were viewed, never what you entered on them.

What we collect

We collect no personal data from your calculations. To understand overall traffic and performance, we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights). These receive page-level analytics and performance measurements — which page was viewed, general browser and device information, the referring page, and loading-speed metrics. Before each measurement is submitted, we remove the query string and the # fragment from the reported page address, which is where calculator values live. So they record that a calculator page was viewed, not the values you typed into it. These measurement scripts run as part of the page rather than in isolation, so this describes what Numvella sends them — not a sealed box around your browser.

Cookies

Numvella does not set tracking cookies. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy and request consent where required by law (GDPR/ePrivacy) before any non-essential cookies are set.

Saved on your device

To save you re-typing, calculators remember your last inputs in your browser's local storage and restore them on your next visit. This data stays on your device, is never uploaded to us, and you can remove it any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Your shareable links

Calculators keep your inputs in the page address so you can copy it and share a result. That state is stored after the # in the URL. Browsers do not send the part after # to a web server, so opening one of these links does not transmit the values it contains — your browser reads them locally and fills the calculator back in.

One historical exception. Links created before this change put the values in the query string (the ? part), which browsers do send when the page is requested. Those links still work, and we remove the query from the address once the page loads — but that cleanup cannot undo the initial request, and page assets loaded before it runs may also have carried the old address in their referrer header. If you shared such a link and would rather it did not carry your figures, replace it with a freshly copied one.
